A happy looking Richard BF with a victory sign flashing Brittany. Maybe we can solve the Israeli/Palestinian conflict after all.

I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. Maybe somebody has excellent photoshop skills.

You know, I never actually disagreed with Brittany’s post, in fact in agree with most of what she said. Maybe I should have said that in my post? Hmm…

Anyways, it was just the white male bit that I took issue with. But that’s just an acceptable artefact of the immediacy of this medium: you make your content and make it available as quickly as possible, otherwise you’re not actually in the conversation. I don’t mind people (and myself) getting a post only 80% perfect for the sake of participation, but I certainly retain the right to question the remaining 20%. :-)

Re Israel/Palestine, absolutely. We know its not outside the realms of what we think is ultimately possible with this medium, right? Bring it on.

Thanks to Chuck for the second peace-making session at VloggerCon! First one is
    here!

Some people misunderstood the white guy comment, and sometimes I have my head in the academic sand and forget that others haven’t spent years of their lives dissecting race/class/gender/etc. in America, so the whole thing is understandable. I hated the uproar at first, but now I’m thrilled! I hope this conversation keeps going. Lots of good connections were made as a result, not to mention some hilarious misunderstandings and reconciliations!

Israel/Palestine - sure! I work at a Jewish college after years of thinking Palestine’s side made sense. No easy answers, but hopefully conversation can heal us. In our tiny community, that’s already happening :)

It’s pity not to be there, but your duscussion afterwards makes me find an inward sesnes of insider out. I just watched the photos and loked at optimistic eyes. I browsed another sites and I’m sure Brittany is whole-hearted involved in hepenings.
Great problem, great intentions, great senses.
