Sick of not benig able to save any of those movies from those Flash based sites like Google Video and YouTube? Came across this little website called KeepVid that allows you to easily download and save these clips simply by throwing in the offending URL.
But as easy as it is to download these videos, actually watching them seems a little more dificult (at least to me). It downloads them as .flv and I was not able to watch it at all in vlc media player (as they suggested).

.flv playback via vlc is broken at the moment, at least under os x. this free player here works under os x, there is also a windows version:
http://www.wimpyplayer.com/products/wimpy_standalone_flv_player.html
with firefox, greasemonkey and a script one could also download .flv videos: http://www.joshkinberg.com/blog/archives/2006/01/greasemonkeying.php
maybe this is helpful.
