While at the at The Portable Media Expo & Podcasting Conference, JD Lasica at New Media Musing and writer of Darknet interviewed Jason Calacanis, founder of Weblogs Inc (and sold it to AOL for $25 million) about the different business models of Podcasting.
It is great that Podacsters have been wrestling with these matters for a while, becuase vloggers can learn a lot from them. All a vlogger needs to is insert the Word “Vlogging” everytime they hear the word “Podcasting” in tis interview to get some interesting and opinonated insight into what Jason believes are the possible opportunties and non-starters business models.
Best 6 minutes I have watched in a long time. Here is a link to the video since New Media Musings does not allow for linking directly to the post

Wow, I’m inspired. Thanks for bringing this to watm. I just trashed a video-podcast directory business model last week that I was thinking of adding into watm! I’m happy to hear that Jason agrees that directories are not the place for us to go!
Creative content are the place to be! Quality shows! Personality!

But without directories how are we to find video we like?

There are lots of directories out there! I use mefeedia and vlogmap and the yahoo videoblogging group!
