What is the future of media? If you haven’t seen this interesting presentation by the Museum of Media History, now is a great time. Please leave comments below!

Thanks for reposting this.
The title of the piece is usually referred to as EPIC 2014 — for the “Evolving Personal Information Construct” that they predict.
FYI: This came out almost a year ago, and it’s actually done by Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson of Snarkmarket who created the front of a “Museum of Media History” as if the history is coming from this institution.
But it’s really interesting to see that some of of the predictions already come to pass with OurMedia and the Internet Archive providing free bandwidth in March 2005 whereas they point to 2006 for Google Grid.
So I think that some of their predictions are already coming sooner than they thought, and I do see a time where facts will become more granular where they will be dynamically aggregated into stories — like shuffing songs in a playlist depending on your musical preferences.
So this is already starting to happen, and ties into some of the things that I’m working on over at http://www.echochamberproject.com

This is really scary, and it’s even scarier to think that we’re all a part of it already.
