PBS Gets into Vlogging

PBS has a new weekly one hour online only show hosted by PBS.org technology columist Robert X. Cringely. First show was broadcast available for download Septemeber 6th. Upcoming interviews will include the who’s who of geekdom inclusing PayPal co-founder Max Levchin, Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak, The father of Linux Linus Torvalds, and Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
The show is published under a Creative Commons license and can be downloaded in many different formats including, bit torrent, MPEG-4 ,auido only and even a text transcript.
The future of broadcasting may be finally upon us.

Without permalinks, comments, or an RSS 2.0 feed is it really a video blog?

Hopefullly in the future they will have comments and feeds.
I think we are a little too early in this movement to be narrow in our definition of vlogging. No one ever said permalink, comments and RSS feeds are a requirement.
This is certainly a “video-log” (ie videos being posted on the net) of interesting interviews and the fact that it is available in so many different formats seems very vlog like to me.
