New York Times Covers Video Blogging

The New York Times ran an article today about our most beloved topic, video blogging. Of course, like most “mainstream” press, they seem to miss the point. Video blogs are not television, they are not trying to be television. Chuck Olsen gives The best analysis of the article on his weblog.

Either way you look at it, I think the attention given to video blogging (be it negative, positive or just innacurate) may lead others to discover this new medium and motivate them to join the Vlogosphere, so that is always a plus.

Here are scans of the paper version of the article (page1, page 2). It took up about 1/3 of the front page of the “Arts” section (almost as big as the picture of Lance Amstrong on the Sports front page. I guess that means that video blogging is becoming a little bit bigger!
